So it has come to my attention that American's have a little thing about not wearing white shoes between the Labor day and Memorail day holidays. After a little digging, here is the story:
Originally, the rule was more along the lines of only
wear white shoes between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Furthermore, it
mainly applied to white pumps or dress shoes. White tennis shoes and off-white
boots seem exempt, as are any shoes worn by a winter bride. It has been mooted that the reason for this is due to white being a heat refelctor and thus acts to keep your feet cool over the summer, though would also keep them cold in winter, and so should not be worn between the two holidays.
Better get those white foot fashion items well and truly into the back of your closet until Monday May 25th....

Beautiful blog with great informational content. I have know a lot about this news ! TKS !
