Well this evening was my first experience of a Major League Baseball game and I sure enjoed it. I Learned many a fact, technical detail and insider tip that I now feel like a fully fledged Nationals fan (no matter how rubbish they are). Thanks to Chris Hankin (Senior Director of Sun North America) for taking me along. He also brought his eldest son Erik who is pretty much my age and as it turned out we got along pretty well. So much so that I went for a beer with him and a bunch of his friends to a bar in Capitol Hill after the 2 hour 35 minute match (which I'm reliably informed was short!!). One observation - they sell beer at their matches. Can you imagine that at an old-firm match? I think not. Very civilized indeed. I've popped in a few pics below and will expand on and edit this blog at some point Wednesday.
Good night,
Rory x

2 hours 35mins is short?! Wow!! Glad to hear you are getting into the American way of life! You will have to explain the rules of Baseball to me sometime!
Looking forward to the next blog.
